"God didn't send His Son half way, so why am I half way saved? And He didn't halfway die on the cross, so why am I half way lost? Why am I somewhat living for Him? An 'average Christian'?! What an oxymoron!"
Why did you start writing:
I started writing because teachers at school seemed to love it. They enjoyed my usage of vocabulary and how I included the lesson given in language arts. I read books and was left astonished of how creative authors drenched their writing in literary devices. I figured, if they can do that, I can do so as well.
Favorite line you have written:
God didn’t send His son half way, so why am I half way saved? And He didn’t halfway die on the cross, so why am I half way lost? Why am I somewhat living for Him? An ‘average Christian’ ?! What an oxymoron!
How do you feel on stage:
Well, right before I head on stage, I try to shake off all gitters and put on confidence. I approach the microphone and immediately forget my first line. Stuck. But not to worry; that’s a code thing God and I have with one another. As soon as I look up, it’s as if He downloads the words back to me. The Spoken Word is in me… hmm, pun-ny.
What does ‘Speak to My Future’ mean to me:
When I think about this phrase, it carries such a rich implication of how one can speak life and watch how life replies with many options, perspectives, and opportunities galore.
Speak to MY future:
Somehow, someway, I will intertwine youth, missions, and creative arts AND make sure NO ONE is left behind.
