Jesus Christ ordained His law in the establishment of His kingdom. The law of Moses was given during the Old Covenant, but the law of Christ, which fulfills and exceeds it, was given in the New Covenant and is written on the hearts of all His disciples. Obedience to the law of Christ does not produce salvation; rather, obedience is the evidence that a person has been saved. Christ has been appointed by God to judge the living and the dead, and all people will stand before His judgment seat. Those who are found to be lawless will be condemned to Hell for eternity.
